Miller Lite: Tap The Future
New York, NY

2013_ML_Tap_the_future_MLlogo.jpg

Miller Lite wants to bring entrepreneurial ideas to life, through an event that unites business and beer - Tap The Future. Through TTF, innovators can win prizes to fund their ideas, including cash, seminars or even access to mentors, like Shark Tank's Daymond John. They brought out some of the best and brightest entrepreneurs to talk to us about the journey of running a business, and answer questions from an audience full of future and aspiring business owners. With Black Enterprise's Alfred Edmond playing host for the evening, the night was full of good beer and great insight. Check out the pics below and stay tuned for the next #TapTheFuture.

Chasing Destinee: The Link Up
New York, NY

What's a weekend without good music, good food and good vibes? When it comes to bringing those elements together The Link Up has you more than covered. In between bottomless mimosas and delicious appetizers at Ainsworth Park, the place was rocking with DJ Q Shepard on the 1's and 2's. Led by host Taqee Bond, this brunch event was nothing short of the good time needed to set the weekend off right, before we start thinking about that workweek ahead. Check out the pics below and stay tuned for the next Link Up!

4 Lovers Only
New York, NY

We all know what time it is when you play a certain song, you see bae & you know what's about to go down. Now imagine that moment with a bar full of D'USSÉ and you have 4 Lovers Only, a night of R&B jams provided by some of the dopest DJ's out. In a packed SOB's, with a cup of the finest cognac we danced and grooved to our favorite love songs, followed by a live performance from Adina Howard, who performed her new single 'Blasphemy' as well as her popular single 'Freak Like Me'. Mark Morrison's 'Return of the Mack, TLC's 'All That theme song', & SWV's 'Weak', had us feeling like it was the 90's all over again thanks to DJ Miss Milan & Jersey Jinx on the turntables. Check out the pics and stay tuned for the next 4 Lovers Only!

BWF
Eve Of Destruction
Bronx, NY

bwf.jpg

In the Bronx, there are some of the toughest and aggressive characters New York has to offer, and the Bronx Wrestling Federation is making sure that stays true. At the last event Eve of Destruction we got high-flying action, hard-hitting slams and a few moments that had us at a loss for words. Besides an opening performance by E.Nigma, a plus for this event was the tag team action, with a total of 3 for the night, it gave us some unpredictable match-ups and let us see more of the roster. Everyone was excited to see BWF founder and veteran Bronco Internacional make his entrance, and it even lead to one of the most heated moments of the night - a faceoff between the BWF roster and some performers of rival promotion LAW. A faceoff which, after some words, led to hell breaking loose in an all out brawl, even getting LDM Show host/founder Charles Laloma in the fray. In between WWE PPV's and shows, this was a great way to get my fill of wrestling, check out the photos and stay tuned for the next BWF event!
